	Fri-Sat, Sept 10-11	Rummage sale at Strathcona Baptist Church to support the development of the South Edmonton Health and Wellness Centre for the homeless; bring donations to the church by Sept 8th; volunteers needed.

	Tue, Sept 28	9 am-12 noon -Edmonton clergy gather at the Catholic Pastoral Centre to join efforts in addressing the issues of homelessness

Community News
	Wecan Food Basket Society www.wecanfood.com Phone 780-413-4525	Fresh meat and produce can be ordered through our Wecan depot at a savings of 20% or more off retail grocery prices. Participants pay a $5.00 membership fee per year. Anyone can become a member, and you can try the program for one month before joining. A $20.00 order contains 3 meats, 3 fruits and 3 vegetables-items such as bananas, apples, pears, broccoli, onions, tomatoes, potatoes, salad, roast or pork chops, chicken pieces and ground meat (pork can be substituted). Members may order only the meat for $12.00 or only the produce for $8.00; they can also place more than one order. Submit orders and payment by the 1st Thursday of the month. 9540 - 83 Ave., Edmonton, AB T6C 1B9 cheques payable to 'Wecan Food Basket' provide contact name and phone # Pick up orders at the church between noon and 4 pm on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Orders not picked up may be sold to other members.
	Soup Lunch	Soup Lunch is open to the community at noon on the 3rd Thursday of the month, resuming on September 16th after the summer break.

*Journeying Together - Adult Forums and Studies*
	Upcoming Studies call the office at 780-439-1063 if interested	The First Paul: Reclaiming the Radical Visionary Behind the Church's Conservative Icon, by Marcus Borg & John Dominic Crossan Come and discuss the appealing, as well as appalling aspects of Paul and find out if we can see this important man of the church in a different light. Beginning Thursday, Sept 30th at 7:00 p.m. *Soul Feast: An Invitation to the Christian Spiritual Life*S, by Marjorie J. Thompson. This book explores spiritual disciplines and practices that incorporate biblical vision and a hands-on approach. Date to be determined.
	Fall forums Sundays 12-1pm	September 12 - discussion of Housing First model for homeless through the South Edmonton Health & Wellness Centre, as proposed by the Edmonton Likewise Society October 17 - training for visitation of our hospitalized and homebound members by Tim Orn, Director of Spiritual Care at Shepherd's Care

	Elementary Events	We hope to have some Edmonton-wide Moravian elementary events this fall. Stay tuned for more information!
	Senior Youth Events	An Edmonton Moravian Youth Group for Junior and Senior High is forming at the Good News Moravian Church.
